Rocks to be set into Memorial Space

Tuesday, 24th May 2016 at 7am - 9:30am

Location: Torrens Riverbank Memorial Site

This event is in the past.

The Memorial Rock will be lifted into position on 24th May 2016, on the River Torrens city-side riverbank, midway between Adelaide University Bridge and the Frome Road Bridge.  The crane should arrive at 6.30 am to set up, so if you want to be the first to see it lifted into place its probably best get there about 7.30am to 8 am when the truck should arrive with the rocks.

Here are a few images (courtesy of PASS and FASS) of the Pavers, CHEB, Sitting Rock, Big Rock being split and a Split close up at the Quarry.

A reminder that SA Premier Jay Weatherill will unveil the Commemorative Artwork / Memorial for Past Adoption Practices on 14th July, 2016 from 9.30 am – 12pm. More details to come.

Another event is palnned on the afternoon of 18th July to commemorate the State Apology following the Memorial unveiling, with more details to come.
